how to multiply the clock

Hi All

I need to multiply a clock frequency to drive a 4040,

the singal I want to multiply is being produced from a picaxe IC and I have reached its limit for a simple square wave signal out. I need a 50% duty wave and PWM is not an option

I need to multiply my signal by 4 to about 20Khz max from about 3khz to 5 Khz.

I know I can use a PLL and I dont mind using one, however I cannot find a schematic to follow.

any idea's ?

cheers

input clock

You can use a 4046 PLL.The datsheet has operational example circuits.

Cool thanks

Ill look into it
