MM5484 16 segment display ?

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get the MM5484 part? I know that it's a Natinal part but don't know if I can buy from National. I also checked Mouser and they don't carry it ��

Does anyone know of a similar part that is more mainstream and sold at regular places like Mouser or digikey?

not only is National obsolete, so is the MM5484 after TI bought them out.

The grey market may have some.

Not much call for 15segment LED drivers

Why are you looking for this outdated device? There are many recent common anode drivers with serial input available, e.g. TLC5926 and compatible devices from other manufacturers.

Ok this seems like an alternative. However I may change my design ... I need to think this through. I think I will go with a simple 7 segment display driver (with select pins) to drive one of these:
