Could anybody suggest me some libraries for media player implementation on embeded linux?
Thanks in advance.

Well, you can move mplayer to embedded linux.

Hmmm ... is it a library? I would like to develop an application (on a linux-based board) that based on external commands (received via Ethernet or serial), can handle (play, stop, put in pause, and so on) music files.
I need a library and APIs. any ideas? thanks.

I have build an embedded linux player using VLC, FFmpeg and any others libraries needed by both packages on TI Davinic.
