:?: am/ fm receiver

i want to make am/ fm receiver ( 10Khz-510Mhz). :?:
how can i make it?
its better to make it discrete or integrated?
discrete is made by transistor.
integrated is made by IC.
what is your suggestion about IC number for this purpose.

thank you.

Re: :?: am/ fm receiver

This is not an easy task. there not singal IC can do that. because of the range.

Re: :?: am/ fm receiver

what is your advice.
is it good with gilbert mixer?
thank you.

Re: :?: am/ fm receiver

HI,
you could try to look at these following ICs:

SA 602
SA 615

not sure, but they should be from Philips.
Search the internet there are a lot of projects you may find interesting.

Ciao

Re: :?: am/ fm receiver

sorry...
forgot to mention that the SA 602 is a new version of the NE 602, same story for SA 615.

The 602 mixer configuration is a Gilbert cell multiplier and
the oscillator will operate to 200MHz.

This could be useful for your project,
Ciao
