Hi,

I am trying to understand the gain / loss in terms of dB from analog singal to G.711 Alaw or Mu-Law.

For example

Analog signal ---> Digital to Analog converter --> ALAW

How much signal loss in terms of dB from Analog to G.711 Alaw?
Similarly how much loss/gain in terms of dB from Alaw digital to analog?

Is there any documentation that describe this?

Thank you,
