I need some resources (books, PDF, sites …) about the BER Tester, as my graduation project is to design a BER tester with some of my collage friends, so if any one could help me I will be grateful to him, thx a lot.

Re: BER Tester

HI

Iam not sure what context you are referring to, but if you are looking for
basic functionality of BER tester, I suggest scanning through the AGILENT, Rhode and Schwarz, Tektronics website for thier test range of products.

And get a jist of what the BER testers are capable of and what do they achieve.

The BER tester would be a simple utility which would first generate some known or random data for a transmitter unit, say lets call it the test vector t.

Later the received and decoded data provided by the receiver lets call it t' would be given as input to the BER tester, which would compare the

t and t' and provide the BER of the system.

Cheers
