well , there are many ways available , such as using an opto coupler which has a totem pole in it's out put ( internally ) . or a transistor with a current source in it's collector ( current mirror ) or .... etc . but i prefer first one .

i'm not familier with this optocoupler device.
but it doesnt have to be bidirectional.
i have 6 signals to manage. 5 need to be level shift from 2.5V to 1.8V and another signal from 1.8V to 2.5V.
the signals are digital and squre wave but pretty slow (up to 100KHz period time).
i would prefer to use a simple level shifter but i didnt found one with DIP package in with this supplies.
in case you have any suggestions, like the optocoupler device, please elavorate how i can use it.

why the opto coupler can't increase the amplitude of an square wave ? can you tell me the reason please ? because i did this thing for many times .

I said it can't be used as a BIDIRECTIONAL level translator but the OP has explained that he doesn't need that , he has separate lines.
I think the optocouplers will not be very convenient to use, you need six lines so you will need two dip chips minimum.
You can just use transistors instead.
You keep misinterpreting what I write.
optocouplers are not bidirectional devices, they can only work in one direction,that's all.
Did you see me say that an optocoupler will not work as a level translator in a single direction?
