serial led display

if u do it with lpt port ,it will be much easier than serial. if u want to do it with serial port u have to use some extra device i.e microcontroller.
wat u want to do,give complete details.

led lpt

Hi,ganesh_98422
you can make very simple circuit
You can connect each of pin 2 to 9 to R=220ohm and led then connect all to pin GND(pín8-25) of LPT port!
220Ohm led (GND of LPT port)
it look like: Pin i ---^^^---------|>-----pin GND (i=2 to 9)

and you can test Output port by watching led display!
here is soft to test output Port by watching led displáy

lpt to serial

the software only controls the data ports. do you have one that can control both data and columns/?

led display serial

Use a LED driver with parallel port and send data to parallel port
