LDD implants on BJT are blocked?

Would like to know the specific reason behind blocking LDD impants during a BJT construction in latest technology.

If LDD would be used at the emitter side, it would deteriorate the emitter efficiency. At the collector side of a lateral BJT, it would kill its Beta.

Plus you don't actually -have- a drain, so no need to lightly
dope it.
