I have a keypad with 13 pin. But i dont know the configuration of it . Kindly help . i have uploaded the image here

what type of keypad is that? I mean matrix or any other type. Which controller are you using? In which language are you planning to do the program?

Probably it will be a matrix 5x5. 5 lines 5 columns.
I think that is a custom job.
With the help of a multimeter you can see which pins a lines and columns

i am using 8051 microcontroller!! and i am doing programminig in assembly language!!

fist you find the row and coloum connections of the keyboard . here i attatch a image that contain abasic diagram of a 4 by 4 matrix keyboad.. In that image (a,b,c,d) are thecoloum lines and (1 2 3 4 ) are the row connections . the keys are in the green colour.. if you look in your key boad you can find lines like this.If you find lines then you can easily program that keyboad.. keypad.JPG

i wish i knew which type of matrix it is!!

better you try the basic operatio of a 4 by 4 matrix keyboad... if you have more doubt post it
