I am working in antenna design. I use simulation softwares such as HFSS and CST for my work. Now can I publish a research paper without getting a licensed copy of these softwares?

I think the eda tools are just a help to support the hypothesis of your research paper. People assume you have a good knowledge on using the tools; they expect to see the novelty of your design, and they expect to see the laboratory measurements rather than the simulation results.
