IR sensor

i m working with microcontoller based project....

When i cut IR sensor i m not getting proper output voltage.

What to do i can't understand?
:|

IR sensor

first of all r u using TSOP 1738.....

if then adjust the resistor values of the astable used to drive ir leds...so that ir led exactly give 38-40 khz ,measure it using CRO....or u can use my ckt values....r1=1.5k r2=2.2k

c1=c2=.1uF

then put a 10uF cap in parallel between first and second pin of TSOP...
this is to prevent stray capacitance.....
if everything goes well we obtain 5v at 3rd pin of tsop...
when you cut the ir rays...3rd pins voltage goes down from 5v to 0v....in an instant...

please don forget to put 10uF cap....

hope this is useful to you!!!!:D:D:D:D

Added after 1 minutes:

the 10uF caps postive shld goto 1st pin of tsop
and negatve to 2nd pin of tsop(ie gnd)

Re: IR sensor

also connect a 1k resistor from the output of astable multivibrator....to the anode of IR led......

Re: IR sensor

i m not getting any Deflection in voltage...

when i m giving supply don't get any Deflection in multimeter...

Is it problem of my sensor?
