interfacing robot

hay people i m a newbie in interfacing...plz help me......i want to know how can i interface a moving robot to a PC.Robot while moving will pass(send) its coordinates to PC at each point of motion.....

Waiting 4 responses.......
Thanx in advance

it depends how much of controlability you want to implement on the robot

as for the link you can use
1) radio link ( possible long range / partly depends on the power source in the robot ),
2) ultrasonic link ( short range)
&
3) infrared beams ( line of sight + short range)

for really hifi applications you could use a GSM modem ;)

first decide which connection
wired
wireless

if wireless go for serial port
if wired go for serial, usb or parallel port

I assume by PC robot you mean it is a robot designed to be interfaced to a PC. In that
case, read the owners manual. I have a feeling that it is a consumer grade product in which case it probably has a simple serial interface over which one sends formatted commands. But I have no idea what those command would be or what format they would take.
