icl7107

For our fyp we require the voltage value for this purpose we are using ICL7107, we are converting the BCD value of ICL7107 to 8 bit using 89c52. the problem is 89c52 is not devised to work for -tive voltage (THe controller just gets heat up). is there some way through which the -tive values can be eliminated or just we can ignore -tive values
NEED SOME URGENT HELP

89c52

The ICL7107 is a standalone device, it's not designed to interface with a microcontroller. How are you connecting it to your 89C52?

We are just taking the output of ICL7107 21 bit output (removing common, dp ) and givinh this as input to 89c52.

what we have come to know about its interfacing is that it can be interfaced using level transistor. but don't know how to do it

Why not just use an A/D IC?
Basically we have implemeted the remaining part of the project regarding this IC.
And we have no time to go for a change in IC

you can use a simple inverter based on BJT or MOSFET .. see attached picture ..

21 transistors, 21 resistors, one-hundred-and-one wires - looks like reverse engineering project ..
