icl7101

I am doing by final year project, which requires the ac voltage to be calculated. For this purpose i am using ICL7101. I want to convert the 3 1/2 7- segment bits to 8 bits. For this purpose i am using 89c52, but since ICL7107 also gives -tive values, which can't be cattered by 89c52.
I want to devise some mechanism for which the -tive values can be made positive.
