Hi everyone,

i am doing a project on GSM and microcontroller(AT90CAN128).I want to connect
serial communication pins (Tx,Rx) of uC to gsm (TTL and CMOS respectively).

Please help me to build a simple interface circuit without any ic (space problem).

Thanks in advance.

Exist ic dedicated for this funcrion, check for "voltage translators" in ti and maxim-dallas website.

Sorry guys i forgot to mention that i have limited space on my board.
So i can only use basic circuits but not IC's.

I am having the same sort of problem in interfacing the CMOS to TTL.
Can any body name a specific IC for the translation?
