Infrared Interfacing to computer

hi. I am doing an infrared related project. bt i dont know how to interface infrared receiver to computer.

is there any circuit or methods that i can apply to it?

Added after 16 minutes:

its may b helpful for u.......use 5v source . cancel 9v relay replace nothing.......and connect the wire of emitter to ur status port.
