Implementation cost difference between 4th order biquad and 8th order butterworth

Do you think there is an implementational cost difference between a 4th order biquad and a 8th order butterworth? If i say that, more or less, i need 2 integrating capacitor per pole, then i need the same for both. Is there any application where a biquad is prefereable to a buttenworth??
