how to use avr?

Our School hold a competitions that who can use a machine find the fire(like the fire in the fireplace) as far as more than 100M away and the machine can do some reflection like light a LED, then he will win.

I want use AVR to control the machine and do reflection. But I have no idea.Want some wise men could give me some advice and idea.Thanks.

Someone once gave a piece of advice: use Alarms use PIR (passive infrared detectors),But I don't know is that possible to use AVR get the alarm signal from That PIR?

Is there any other way to finish this work?

Thanks

Hello

Murata have a special sensor for detecting fire with analog output

you can use an AVR with D/A converter to detect the fire signal

regards bobi

fireplace led avr

u can use a thermistor which is of low cost

connect one resistor series with thermistor

then use one ADC to measure

IF you have a sensitive issue use AD590 sensor
