can anyone guide me how to multiply an 8 bit number wid 2.5 and get answer in the form 00.0.....
i need guidance in 18f452 and in asmbly
plz its a bit urgent
regards

forget about the decimal & do the simple multiplication i.e. a 8-bit number, say, 73 multiply it with 25 rather than 2.5 i.e 73 x 25 = 1825 , now show this value on display & simply show the decimal one digit before i.e 182.5

kender first read properly what the person has asked for. He asked for assembly. & in case if he would had asked in for C also still your method will consume more memory than mine, if this is all he wants.
