measuring output Power

How do i measure RMS output power?

How do i measure AC voltage output power?

How do i measure the Peak output power?

measuring output Power

Use the oscilloscope and consult a book about electric circuits, which will teach you how to measure the values.

Re: measuring output Power

When im using the oscilloscope how do i measure RMS or AC voltage for power?

Re: measuring output Power

The oscilloscope measures voltage. You need to know the load impedance to get power. For sine waves, RMS is sqrt(2) times the peak (one sided peak not peak to peak)

Peak power has two meanings. One is the peak voltage related to the load impedance. Another is for varying signals like voice. It is the RMS voltage over a small time interval related to the load impedance.

if the load impedance is 4 ohms whats the output RMS value?

and the Peak output power?

if the load impedance is 8 ohms whats the output RMS value?

and the Peak output power?

if the load impedance is 16 ohms whats the output RMS valuse?

and the Peak output power?
It can be 1W, 10W, 100W, or ....
You need to know the peak output voltage (for sinewave).
