Dear Sir,
I am having AD/DA PCF 8591 Chip and i am trying to get variable output voltage from range of 0 to 15 volts. But i am not able to do so.

Is there any way of getting output voltage variable between 0 to 15 volts.

Please help.

Thankyou

Hi,

whats the output of your DA?

If it is 0...5V then us a noninverting OPAMP circuit with gain of 3.

Klaus

In the datasheet at page 7 is mentioned what are the settings to get the required output voltage, following a specific equation.

My output is from 0 to 15 volts variable.

How it can be used for variable output voltage.

I just want to know how to do communication with arduino usign i2c communication. I mean what address 0x90 > 1 stands for and what are the series and sequence of sending the bytes in order to get specific voltage ranging from my reference voltage 0 to 15 Volts.

Hi,

max VRef input of PCF8591 is VDD. max. operating voltage of VDD is 6V.

Don´t use 15V as Ref.

I2C:
The device specific information you can find in the datasheet.
Global I2C description you may find at philips NXP homepage.
