quality factor q in lpf

Hi, all

it's urgent problem,
how to enhance the Quality factor of a Gm-C elliptic LPF, what parameters will affect this value? any comment or advice are appreciated, or maybe papers about that can be uploaded here.

Thx very much!

Best regards!

filter q-factor gm

Is there anybody can help me?

what do you mean by q factor of a filter

hi,

Increase the DC gain of integrator (Gm-C ) can enhance the Q value of filter, So you should increase the output impedance of transconductor(Gm).

A lowpass filter of nth degree has n poles (n/2 pole pairs).
Each pole pair has its own quality factor - that is the pole Q.
More than that, an elliptic filter in addition has zeros with zero Q´s.

Therefore, my question: what is your problem ? What do you want to enhance ?
What do you mean with "quality factor" ?
