OS selection in DOS

I would like to install Windows (ME) on a new HDD along with my existing HDD that has Windows 2000 on it. I need to add lines into the autoexec.bat to give an option of which OS to select and if possible a time limit.

Thanks

Re: OS selection in DOS

you try running the WinME CD within WIn2000.

usually windows detects and allows you to install both OS with a menu of selection when bootup.

OS selection in DOS

I know that is true of WinXP, I didn't know it was the same as 2000.

ya it is true for win 2000 also no need to manually add option ....

OS selection in DOS

But won't it say that it can't install an earlier version of Windows because it is a later version, that's what XP says.
