Hi, TANK Circuit is nothing more than a source, Capacitor and an Inductor all in parallel to each other.
There exists a switch between source and capacitor and a switch between capacitor and inductor, when the switch 1 is shorted the capacitor is charged, once charged the switch is opened and then switch 2 is shorted which causes the current to flow through inductor, this process is repeaded and this generates oscilation.
