Hi all,

How much time approximatley it will take to travel data from 1 RF transiver to other who are apart 10Km from each other. 9600 is RF Data rate and 1 Watt is power of RF transimtter. 900 mhz may be the frequancey..

I am new to this RF communication field .. i want to have the idea of communication delay time. Is there any formula to calculate this..
???????????????????????

Dear,

The Rf SPeed in the air is same as Light Speed! but in a tranceiver application

the switching time between TX/RX modes is important.Your sending protocol is important.

Your device speed is important.Your Microcontroller Processing time is important.

Finally your timing & processing specification is more important than RF Speed in air.

Good Luck.

The major delay in the RF portion will be through the IF filters and antialiasing filters.

Hi,

I know of a company who specialise in RF Layout courses. They might be worth checking out if your thinking of upskilling. Company is called IC Mask Design.
