How can I connect five dot matrix display 5X7 using multiplexing method.I whant to control the displays with a ATEMEGA8.

What I would like to know is how to connect this five dot matrix displays with Atmega8, because ATEMEGA8 has only 28 pins and I have to connect 25 pins and I would like to use as few as possible pins.

you just have to use serial to parallel shift register (such us 74ls164) for data (spent 2 pin) and control the common using another pin.

u should use 74HC595 is better than 164 cause 595 has the latch on it.
