i want to decode Chinese car stereo remote to use it in my projects. Can any body help me about the coding standard used in these remotes.
i opened up my remote to see which ic have been in this remote but there was no ic and just a black deposit inside which is there in other products also? what is this black deposit? is this a some form of integrated circuit?

Is there any model number of that black device?
What I guess it may be a ir device.

there is nothing written on the remote and the black thing i am talking about is inside the remote we see similar black thing in other cheap electronic products like fancy lights etc.this remote is used in cheap car stereos which use only pen drive to play music files(no cd drive) i want to decode ir signal from this remote with micro controller

The ir leds will operate in a certain range of frequency between 34-40kHz pulse.
