help!! need sensor n circuit to measure water depth for ROV

i'm working for a project to measure water depth or position for underwater autonomous.any idea? any suggestion sensor that i should use..

The cheapest pressure [pressur etranslates to depth of the ROV] sensors are usually PCB mounted ones with
plastic cases that measure pressure of "dry gasses", which means water
will ruin them. But they can take mineral oil from the drug store
fine. You just need a bladder (a rubber glove finger works fine) with
seawater outside and mineral oil inside. Run a small tube from the
bladder to the PCB mounted sensor. For shallow water calibrate it
with a plasthic tubing manometer in a stairwell.
