[SOLVED] Guitar Amplifier noise when a DC adaptor used.

Hi,

Don't worry, you'll be okay, people do this all the time. If you have crocodile clips it might be easier. Just strip say 10 cm of the sheath from a bit of wire and twist it tightly around the metal water pipe so it makes a good connection, then clip or twist the other stripped end of the wire to your star ground point, then plug in the adapter to the wall socket and then turn on the circuit. Then turn trimpot up and down to guage hum level. Same procedure but in reverse order to disconnect circuit from earth connection.
