master clock design

Hi,
At present i am working on a project to develop a GPS based master clock.
I am searching for more information on the subjet and also for implementational ideas. I would be using a microcotroller for it.

So if i could get some advices, materials or useful information on the subject, it would be of great help to me in developing the project.
