Dear All:
Does anyone hvae good method to analysis the close loop stability of regulator ?
Lilke matlab method , Does anyone have the example , Thanks

Sorry, I don't know your question!
For the linear reg, we can do the close-loop stability simulation in eldo, hspice directly.OK?
Why do we need to use the matlab?

hi
if you have transfer function of your project
use rootloucas function in matlab.

open the loop by add idea inductor and cap, then run ac analysis to the Phase margin

Yes, it is a common way to access the stability of your design.
However, I would like to add one point here. Once you add a very large inductor and capacitor for your stability analysis, the loading effect at the node you breaking the loop is not included in the stability analysis. Therefore, pls make sure the loading effect at that node is not significant.

hi,scottie
what is the loading effect,please?
Why is the loading effect not been corrupted by the additional inductor and capacitor?

The loading effect means any capacitive loading or inductive loading (although inductive loading is rare to apper in IC design).

The loading effect is Corrupted by the additional inductor and capacitor
