What is the function of high speed buffer such as LM6321?

It is a wideband amp that is capable of supplying a large voltage swing over the wide bandwidth. For these type of amps the output voltage slew rate is high.

One application would be as a video amp.

So, the function of LM6321 is used to amplifying the supply current to larger current? such as 9mA to 300mA?
