Hi All,

Could someone explain the properties of a MOS diode (The Gate and drain of an NMOS shorted, source and bulk grounded)? When a current I is forced through the drain, what is the voltage drop between source and drain?

Thanks,

hi

Gate and Drain of MOS transistor are tied together

•I-V characteristics are qualitatively similar to a pn-junction diode (MOS diode)

•The MOS diode is used as component of a current mirror and for level translation (voltage drop).
