Ethernet Controller : problems for a beginner

Hi all,
I am new to PIC programming and I am trying interface ethernet controller ENC624J600 with PIC24F. To start the things, I wanted to try to send the contents of
PoRTB using Parallel interface via ethernet.
Please, anybody who has worked in this before suggest me the right way to proceed, any help in the right direction would be great. If anyone has got a C Program for the Eehternet controller, I would be very thankful.

Hi ,

Have a look at this project for some working code /experiments, though would not by any stretch of the imagination class the ethernet as a beginners project - so you might learn a lot by doing all the other experiments first.
