Hi Folks,
I am trying to understand the effect of LO phase noise on Transmitter (Modulator).
I need to know answers like what will happen to noise floor, EVM, Mod spectrum etc. in the presence of LO Phase noise.

Can you guys please give me some references to read about?
Can you share experiences/measured data/mathematics behiend this?

Regards,
H.V.

LO phase noise influence noise floor of a transmitter because of Reciprocal Mixing.

Spurious emission@antenna port = Pout(dBm) + LO_phase_noise(dBc/Hz)
See my blog for details about Reciprocal Mixing. **broken link removed**

EVM influenced by LO phase noise.

Influenced EVM = SQRT(2-2*cos(phase noise RMS))
