i think dsp experts can help for my queries...
i had made 3 stage decimation filter with decimation factor 512.My input is output from the analog modulator which is one bit (1 or -1)
1) what is the width of total register to function correctly ...
is it 1 + 3log2(2^9) = 28 bit
or according to hogenauer MSB is .....Bin(1) +3log2(2^9) -1 =27 bit
2)how to get impulse response of CIC filter(vhdl or schematic based entry) and simulate the result in matlab so that i can take fft ot it to see frequency response.
