driving leds with 3.3 volt logic fpga

Hi, I plan on driving 6 LEDs with my FPGA. Can I simply connect the output of the IO (3.3 v logic), to a series resistor (150 ohm) to the led in series to GND? I'll write the VHDL to drive 1 to turn the LED on and 0 to turn it off. Any issues with this?
