"characterize LDO" means stability analysis, measurement of line and load regulation etc.... for different conditions. Am I right?

u also need simulate the temperature, psrr etc

for stability analysis, if u are using Cadence, you can try stb simulation.
what u need to do is place a "iprobe" in the loop and identify it in the stb sim. setup, then u can easily get ur stability infor (phase margin and gain margin)
