Usually during a performance the volume control is set one time then it remains like that for a single performer. The volume can be changed one time for the next performer. Maybe an automatic volume control can be used.
In The West, a modern digital volume control IC can be used to control volume in small steps but they might not be available in the country called "Earth" (India?).
