hi all ,

i want to know what's the difference between a small for example 12MH crystal and a bigger crystal , is the bigger one more stable and accurate ?or ....

Thanks ,
hm_fa_da.

Physically larger crystals can handle more power and therefore do not drift in frequency over time as much as physically smaller crystals.

Another aspect is overtone crystals are more frequency stable against circuit impedance drifts. The overtone crystal is the size for fundamental frequencies 1/N of the operating frequency and therefore N times physically larger.
