I am using Comsol multiphysics to do my EM simulation. During my modelling I have to define a port on the face of a EM waveguide/cavity for EM excitation/coupling..

But the port only constitutes the small area of a face of the cavity/waveguide for the excitation purpose.

Can anyone suggests how define such port area on a face.

Many thanks,

Otilia

Hi,

If I understand your question correctly, this may help. Have you tried to create another geometry for the port area? Let say, rectangle for face and another small rectangle for port, so you will have 2 geometries on the same face that you can specify port differently.

Hope this works,

Good luck.
