nezami wireless transceivers

Hello all,
If the data received contains the preamble which contains the information, it is not necessary to perform timing synchronization by using say early-late gate. Am I right?

And if it is not necessary to use those loops to recover the timing, how to use the preamble to retrieve the timing ?

Thanks!

preamble data aided synchronization

You still need to do it. The only thing is you can have better result as you know the data bts. You can integrate for more and reduce the BW.

and how to do it exactly?
Is there any book you can recommend brmadhukar?
Especially how it is done in DSSS.

Thanks

This excellent book -

RF Architectures & Digital Signal Processing Aspects of Digital Wireless Transceivers
Mohamed K. Nezami, Ph.D., KI4CUA

- will do

Sorry for the delayed response :(

You basically collect the data, do a data wipe off and then integrate. Technically this is what you need to do.

The books
1) Mentioned above
2) Meyr's book -- I dont remember the name

Hope this helps
