connecting SE K700 to hyperterminal

hi guys...I'm newbie trying to do a gsm based project... Right now I'm trying to connect my sony ericsson K700 to the hyperterminal console.
however, the hyperterminal is giving me meaningless replies. Anybody have done this before? I really need guidance here...

Hi kamal,

How did you connect the k700 to PC ? What is the type of cable and to which port ? (is it DCU-11 ?) Please give more info.
