Dear all,
Currently I want to evaluate the chip area of these different RAMs with same bits:
1) 3K bits single-port RAM
2) 3K bits two-port RAM
3) 3K bits dual-port RAM
I know 2) & 3) are greater than 1).But I need a more accurate number. For example, 2) is 1.5x or 2x than 1)?
In addition, regarding 2) & 3), which one is bigger?

Any document mentioned about these comparison?

Thanks!

Re: SRAM comparison

I think that if you have memory compiler which is provided from vendor or Artisan, then you can compare those memory block size.
:?:

Re: SRAM comparison

The problem is: I do not have such kind of tool

Re: SRAM comparison

I am not very clear about the difference between two port SRAM and a DUAL port SRAM.

also let me know about the convention 1rw / 1r_1w

Thanks

SRAM comparison

Two port SRAM is smaller than dual port SRAM.
Two port SRAM is one port only for read and one port only for write.
Dual port SRAM provides two port for read or write.
