hello,

What is the application of footwear antenna?

Any electronics I've seen in footwear consists of led's flashing on children's shoes. It's a whimsical kind of high tech. I suppose they could put in an antenna too. Then we can imagine radio communication going on with the shoe. A practical application might be a radio transmitter, to monitor a child's location.

Or a whimsical application such as radio contact among several children's shoes, making the led's flash in rhythm, or something fun like that?

This sounds like a million dollar idea. If it could be standardized among all brand names, it would become all the rage. I need a million dollar idea. However this one is difficult to get implemented, I think.
