APB read - do I need to consider penable

For APB read transaction ,
if read operation , do I need to consider penable =1 to output the data on bus ?

Yes, you need to consider penable.

As per APB protocol , In the case of a read, the slave must provide the data during the ENABLE
cycle. The data is sampled on the rising edge of clock at the end of the ENABLE cycle.

Thats true but read enable and penable should be active during address phase as well as data phase try to read spec care fully.
 

hi niraj_m, penable is useful for APB protocol , so you should use it!
