Analog IC Design Prospective

analog IC's are now making more money that microprocessor IC's.

Intel is in trouble !

wanna earn lots of money? then u must find the killer application.

as analog IC related,
either consumer electronics : say build-in DC/DV(high quality comparable to cannon products ) cell phone . mini-cinema in car.

Or biomedical micro-chip, say implanted into human body to dynamically monitoring blood pressure, anti-body concentration

But these r not “killer” enough.

What's the definition of "killer application"?
If it means the high volume prodution like cellular phone?
or just any niche market?
I feel if you can find any niche point, you can earn the money.

Hi Puppet1,

Thanks for this website, I feel it's interesting.

But, I saw the "advanced technology reaearch" rather thans"Killer application" there.

Or, I miss anything?

well sometimes advanced technology reseach turns into the killer app...

i sent it to point you to the biological research they are doing, that is the first time i have seen publically research into electronics and biology.

we have two fists, analog and digital.
both of them are necessary in fighting.
it is meaning less to discuss if analog will 'die'.

the only difference is if the demand of analog designers is larger or smaller than the schools can provide.
