Analog and Digital design

Hi, I am a fresher, i got two jobs one in analog and the other in digital field, i am equally intrested in both the areas. Can any one suggest me which area is better to go for ... also i would like to know about the salary in both the fiellds if we have 5 yrs of exp.

Salary wise analog engineers will get get more compared to digital enggrs and also analog engineer as a resource is very less and they are more opted in industry and are in more demand,we can find more digital engineers but not not a analog engineer


So you better go for analog enginer

analog is better but it will take more time to really get yourself really in it. On the other hand, digital circuit design is easier to catch up.

Analog doesnt hav automated tools
manually work is done .......i f u r really like to work on analog side.. watchout for tools !!!

Analog guys r paid with handsome salary obviously more work FAT pay

I think both are good enough,
if u think you can go in both the field start with analog and later go in mixed signal.

Just check out yourself in which one you are more strong.

wideing the base of a triangle is of no use its ease too, but to reach the apex is tuff.

I mean the peak as position, try to reach the higher position in ur selected field in which ur strong.

If your interest aligned with the field you work in then you will be at much higher position...

So frankly speaking you can not categorize both the filed on the basis of salary.

I know some of Digital engineer with same experience is getting more package than it's analog peer's or vise versa also.

I think both the fields have enough challenges and salary depends upon ur hard work....

A lot of digital work is just "join the dots electronics", where the engineer simply connect IC's together.
Analog has wider scope, and wider application. A good engineer analog can find work in many fields.

Digital is just a subset of an analog world.

The Analog job will give u lot of scope to design and develop new ideas and improve older systems.

In digital technology which COTS based , u will use products already tailor made for specific requirements. Your design will be dictated by what is available off the shelf.

If u love challenges then Analog job is the best.
