can i use BC547 for 50hz switching.....

for 12V, 10mA application

50hz is such a low frequency that almost any transistor will work i think
 

Frequency is not a problem but what are your going to switch,
if it is a led or lcd display (15-100mA) in a low voltage circuit then you can use it.
